About the Job

Following a recent promotion, we are seeking an experience Investments Analytics Specialist to join the Rest Investment Team. You will join close knit team of high performers who are passionate about providing invaluable insights for the benefit of our Members, working to provide quantitative analysis of Rest’s investments to enhance decision making, reduce investment risk and increase efficiencies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain key analytical tools and reporting in the performance, attribution, risk analysis, portfolio analysis domains
  • Partner with Rest’s data management and investment analytics service providers for continuous improvements to Rest’s analytics and data management solutions.
  • Manage the day-to-day relationships with Rest’s investment analytics providers and contribute to ongoing service review and performance assessment discussions.
  • Manage reporting and information delivery to various stakeholders including Rest’s Investment Committee, Investment Team, Investment Advisor, Rest’s client facing groups and other external stakeholders such as Research Houses. 
  • Support in the management Rest’s investment data and ensure Rest has an effective data management solution that allows for appropriate scaling as Rest grows, aggregation of Rest’s various data sources and ease of access to information.
  • Support the development, and implementation of Rest’s Investment Data Governance Framework

About You:
 
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience within the Financial Services industry.
Required experience, understanding or credentials including:
 
  • At least ten years’ experience in a relevant area of the financial services industry e.g. Funds management, Superannuation within the performance/risk analytics or investment data management functions.
  • Thorough knowledge of investment markets, including various asset classes, securities and investment structures.
  • In depth knowledge of investment related data requirements across all asset classes. 
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with service providers and internal stakeholders and all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to work in an environment requiring attention to detail and high levels of accuracy. A high level of numerical literacy is essential.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, work under pressure, set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to interrogate investment data sources,
  • Experience using of SQL and/or equivalent would be highly regarded
