About the Job

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to join the Innovation & Transformation Group at Rest. Reporting to the Head of Architecture, you will be responsible for the design of technology solutions that focus on Rest's data capability. 

Working as a part of a team of Architects, you will collaborate with the Data and Customer Analytics team as well as other internal and external stakeholders to manage Rest’s data architecture. This is an opportunity to apply strategic thinking, define our target state and drive outcomes that will make a real difference to our business.

Key responsibilities include:
 
  • Work closely with the Data team to maintain and enhance Rest’s data strategy
  • Design and develop enterprise data solutions which align to Rest’s Data and Technology strategies.
  • Design solutions that ensure data integrity, consistency, completeness and security.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise / common data models.  Work closely with (and guide) the data and analytics teams to implement these.
  • Define mapping between enterprise data models and the source systems.
  • Provide thought leadership on all things Data.
  • Define and maintain architectural patterns and standards for information/data architectures and ensure alignment with the overall technology architecture.
  • Define and maintain data / information architecture assets and roadmaps based on changes in business scenarios, environment, technology architecture and regulation.
  • Work on projects to deliver Solution Design artefacts including Conceptual Designs, High Level Designs, Technical Assessments, Solution Option Papers
  • Build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.

About You:
 
  • Demonstrated domain expertise gained by working as a Data architect or similar role
  • Demonstrable Architecture & Implementation experience across multiple data projects and engagements.
  • Experience in designing and implementing master data management and enterprise data warehouse solutions.
  • Understanding of modern integration styles like micro-services architecture, server-less components and local storage solutions such as DynamoDB
  • Experience with AWS Infrastructure and storage solutions
  • Good working knowledge of data cleansing, data profiling, data governance as well as data science and analytics practices.
  • Experience with designing and implementing CI/CD pipeline automation
  • Knowledge of DevOps and release management and version control tools like Jenkins, Github etc.
  • Good knowledge of agile (SCRUM) software/product delivery and lean working practices.
