About the Job:

Reporting to the Head of Employer Channels & Marketing, this autonomous role will see you accountable for the successful development and execution of various events to engage with our Member and Employer clients. A combination of B2C and B2B events, this role will offer diversity and challenge for the right person where you will work with a team of professionals all passionate about what they do.
 
Collaborating with marketing, key internal and external stakeholders, you are responsible for the development, maintenance and delivery of an enterprise-wide events strategy and program. You will develop our operating framework (procedures, measures and approvals) to ensure effective and efficient delivery of events.

 Key responsibilities include:

  • Establish the annual national event and seminar program to meet the business objectives, including an annual activity calendar
  • Accountable for seminars and events attaining and maintaining a consistently high standard of quality as measured by audience attendance, engagement and outcomes as well as overall quality of the attendee experience.
  • Consult with internal business stakeholders to develop strategy and customized solutions for unions & associations.
  • Manage the event proposal and approval process, through consulting with the Leadership team to ensure business objectives are achieved.
  • Oversight and management of event budgets, including forecasting, tracking and reporting
  • Partner with creative agencies and conceptualise and create event collateral, including but not limited to invitations, activations and stands, animations, digital signage, promotional material and supporting collateral.

About you:

You are an experienced or up-and-coming events management specialist confident managing events end to end. You will possess excellent written communication skills showcasing your ability to develop communication material for various mediums and audiences in a creative manner. You will demonstrate strong project management and time management skills to ensure successful delivery of events. Your experience negotiating with vendors will be called upon as will your project management and time management skills. With tertiary qualifications in communications/marketing or a related discipline, you will bring your initiative, energy and drive to make this role your own.

Due to the nature of this role, on occasion you will be required to travel nationally and work outside of normal hours as needed for the success of events.
