The Job:

Reporting to the General Manager for Enterprise Solutions and Architecture, the Portfolio Delivery Manager is accountable for delivering the Rest Portfolio of projects.  Working with a talent team of IT professionals, you will manage all projects in flight.

This is an ideal opportunity to secure a position with a high level of accountability with a focus on Agile delivery.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Driving highly effective working relationships with key stakeholders within Rest, vendors and partners
  • Portfolio planning, enabling efficient scheduling and implementation of change across Rest.
  • Leading and managing the planning/estimating, definition, delivery and tracking of the project portfolio
  • Portfolio Planning and Scheduling, ensuring the delivery of stable, predictable and reliable business outcomes
  • Ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Preparing departmental budgets & forecasts & reports on variances
  • Creating a programme delivery centre of excellence through all stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring that outputs and deliverables meet best practice standards
  • Effectively manage portfolio risks and issues by identifying and documenting risks and issues and developing effective mitigation/management strategies according to Rest risk framework.

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
  • Portfolio Delivery or Programme Management experience managing budgets upwards of $15m
  • Knowledge of the Superannuation and/or Financial Services Industries, key technical trends and understanding of how the IT systems and solutions support business operations.
  • Proven experience leading and successfully delivering complex business and IT programmes that contain multiple projects/streams of activities and related deliverables.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading the development and application of best practice project management approaches and methodologies, as well as mentoring less experienced team members.
  • Able to demonstrate strategic, analytical, problem solving, issues management and evaluation skills to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Proven ability to foster and maintain collaborative working relationships both within and outside the organisation.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
