The Job:

As part of our Corporate Services team this role is responsible for the provision of financial and accounting services for our organisation. Leading a team of Financial Accountants, this role will take ownership of statutory lodgements, external and internal audit matters and our risk framework. Another element of this role is to support the General Manager of Finance with reporting requirements to the Board and Committees.

We are preparing our company to be ready for the future. This role will play a key part in our transformation taking a leadership role as we drive efficiency and improve our financial reporting capability.   

Melbourne location is preferable for this role however we are willing to consider Sydney base for the right individual.


Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Lead the financial activities of the organisation to ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting (income tax, GST, FBT and APRA reporting)
  • Deliver timely and accurate annual financial statements for the Trustee, Fund and its subsidiaries in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate controls within the finance function to manage operating risks relating to financial resources including expense authorisation processes.
  • Design, develop and implement new systems and processes to ensure ongoing efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
  • Manage financial risk management framework related to financial and regulatory reporting requirements.

About You:

We are looking for an ambitious leader keen to make a difference. Ideally you will have a financial services background with a depth of experience in financial, regulatory and taxation reporting.  Exposure to super funds and APRA reporting would be highly regarded. Familiar with working in a highly regulated environment, you are CA or CPA qualified with appropriate tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting or related discipline. Above all else, your strengths leading a team, collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders and ensuring best practice reporting capabilities will see you succeed.
