As the Procurement Specialist, you will have responsibility for supporting the development and implementation of the vendor sourcing and governance framework; that supports vendor selection, contract negotiation, vendor management, governance and oversight practices across Rest. Your role will be responsible for supporting the business in implementing and embedding the whole of life vendor management process, working closely with the Head of Strategic Procurement to manage  vendor performance and compliance across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the design and implementation of the strategic sourcing and procurement governance framework
  • Whole of life vendor management governance framework, including business case, procurement, vendor selection and management oversight accountabilities. 
  • Establishing a vendor management RACI and managing it’s application to all existing third-party arrangements across Rest.
  • Establish, maintain and review a Rest supplier database
  • Reviewing existing supplier contracts and SLAs into a single database, whilst identifying opportunities for 3rd party vendor efficiencies.
  • Developing online and face to face training on Rest outsourcing, procurement and vendor management practices and obligations
  • Partnering with the business to maintain and monitor Rest’s procurement governance framework, whilst facilitating the RFP and procurement processes and leading contract negotiation.
  • Support business awareness of material outsourcing obligations
  • Ensure compliance obligations and vendor management standards are met.

About You:

You are adept at managing multiple projects sometimes with competing deadlines, with an appreciation for attention to detail and accuracy. Commercial acumen, quality stakeholder management and ability to communicate and negotiate is standard to you, bringing a depth of procurement and contract management expertise.

Required experience or understanding of:
 
  • Significant procurement and contract management subject matter expertise ideally within the financial services or related industry
  • Proven stakeholder engagement skills and an understanding of the regulatory and compliance obligations
  • Proven experience developing, implementing and managing vendor sourcing and governance frameworks.
  • Considerable stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Proven experience partnering with the business on contract negotiation and procurement activities including, but not limited to, business case development, RFP design, vendor selection, contract negotiation and execution.
  • Understanding of risk management and compliance frameworks
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a business-related field required
