About the Job  

We are looking for an experience Project Manager to join our team on an 18-month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Programme Manager, your role will be to manage the implementation of our whole of fund Portfolio Management System.  

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivery – Manage projects from initiation through to closure, 
  • Financial Management – Manage the preparation of project cost estimates and subsequently manage and report project delivery against agreed costs
  • Benefit Management – Monitor benefits against what was predicted in the business case 
  • Stakeholder management – Engage, inform and negotiate with stakeholders
  • Project Governance – Adherence to Rest delivery methodology and governance framework 
  • Partner and vendor management – Manage vendors to deliver solutions for the project 
  • Risk and Issue Management – Effectively manage risks and issues 
  • Lead, mentor and guide project team members  

About You: 

  • Project Management Certification e.g. PMI/Prince 2 Certification or equivalent Scrum master/Agile certification or equivalent experience 
  • Demonstrated senior project management experience, leading and successfully delivering strategic IT projects is essential 
  • Previous experience working in Investment Management organisations, ideally with experience in dealing with front, middle and back office functions would be highly regarded 
  • Advanced knowledge in Portfolio Management Systems, Order Management Systems, and Execution Management Systems across multiple asset classes would be highly regarded 
  • Experience and knowledge within investments working for, or with superannuation funds would be highly regarded
  • Knowledge of business continuity planning and risk management with a risk control-oriented mindset
  • Sound governance methodology with documenting decisions and framework
