About the Job 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Information Security Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Information Security & Technology Risk, this is your opportunity to secure a role where you can use your experience to influence change and drive best practice business outcomes.
 
Your role will be responsible for assessing information risk and facilitating remediation of identified vulnerabilities for Information Security and IT Risk across the Rest landscape and is ideally suited to someone who is solutions focussed with a can-do attitude.

Key responsibilities include:
                       
  • Methodically execute on the Information Security & Technology Risk attestation program internally and across all Rest vendors
  • Methodically execute on improvement plans relating to IT Risk and Security risk plans and technology solutions
  • Perform ongoing periodic security reviews, monitoring and reporting including project, user access, policies, standards and processes reviews
  • Perform monitoring, tracking and reporting of vulnerability scanning results, data loss prevention alerts, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) log, event activities to ensure timely closure of identified risks and gaps
  • Provide strategic security and risk guidance for IT projects, including the evaluation and recommendation of technical controls
  • Promote and reinforce all IT Information Systems standards, policies and procedures ensuring ongoing compliance and where gaps exist, develop plans for remediation
  • Process and address all security incidents and requests as and when required working with vendors and internal stakeholders as needed
  • Collate security reports in line with Rest’s security technology landscape and drive vendors as needed to ensure timely closure of issues
  • Participate in audits as required, collating and providing information as needed including closing out of audit issues in a timely fashion.

About You:
 
  • Relevant tertiary and/or industry certifications in Risk and/or Security
  • Demonstrated ability to perform IT Security and Risk management governance in financial services sector or similarly regulated environment
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with multiple third-party vendors
  • Ability to achieve continuous improvement of risk, security and processes
  • Proven experience dealing with APRA / Regulators / Auditors
  • Demonstrated experience implementing security controls to meet legal & regulatory requirements
  • Proven experience defining RFT security requirements, performing market evaluations and successfully implementing enterprise wide security solutions, such as SIEM, Endpoint Protection, Vulnerability scanning and DLP for large complex organisations
  • Strong focus on quality outcomes inclusive of problem solving as well as attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability developing and managing organisation wide security remediation programs
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of ITIL
  • Minimum 10 years hands-on experience in information security, or networking engineering roles in large complex organisations.
