Dear Member,

I am writing to inform you that I have advised the Board of REST Industry Super that I do not intend to seek a renewal of my employment contract which comes to an end in January 2018.
I have been fortunate to have been REST’s Chief Executive Officer since 2006, and believe now is an appropriate time for me to consider alternative career options. After 11 years, it is appropriate and good corporate governance for REST to transition to a new CEO. REST is in a very strong position, recognised as an industry leader and innovator, and well placed to continue providing strong returns, low fees and high service for members.
REST has a strong and capable leadership team, and I know the team will continue to provide you with great service and strong returns. I remain committed as CEO of REST until completion of the transition to a new CEO.  This will ensure full stability through the change-over process.
I am greatly appreciative of the support I have received from members, from employers, from REST, and from others in the industry. I am looking forward to planning the next exciting stage of my career.
