About the Job 

Working as part of the greater Innovation and Transformation team and reporting to Head of Information Security and Technology Risk, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring security controls for the protection of computer systems, networks and information across the Investment environment.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Identify and define system security requirements
  • Deploy technical solutions such as security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks
  • Comprehensive reporting including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement
  • Review existing audit reports, to ensure that issues are tracked and monitored throughout their lifecycle
  • Provide input into network and system architectural designs, including performing security assessments to identify known control weaknesses
  • Working with our Security Operations team, assist with the tracking and reporting of vulnerability scanning results, data loss prevention alerts, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) log, and event activities to ensure timely closure of identified risks or control weaknesses
  • Promote and reinforce all IT Information Systems standards, policies and procedures ensuring ongoing compliance, and where gaps exist develop plans for remediation across the Investments platform
  • Collate security reports in line with Rest’s security technology landscape and drive vendors as needed to ensure timely closure of issues
  • Participate in audits as required, collating and providing information as needed including closing out of audit issues in a timely fashion
  • Assist with security related BAU activity
About You:
Ideally, you will be a strong technical generalist, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, ability build strong working relationships by effectively translating technical information to non-technical people. Your passional, technical knowhow and security specific knowledge will see thrive in the role.
  • Relevant tertiary and/or industry certifications in Risk, Security
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with multiple third-party vendors
  • Solid experience designing or implementing security controls to meet legal & regulatory requirements
  • Ability to describe Risk in clear concise terms, including analysis of the consequences, likelihood, and how these are imp
  • Proven experience defining RFT security requirements and performing market evaluations on enterprise-wide security solutions, such as SIEM, Endpoint Protection, Vulnerability scanning and DLP, in large complex organisations
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the proven ability to liaise and negotiate effectively with people internal and external to the organisation.
  • Able to work independently, with good planning and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines within short time frames and to manage changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to operate effectively in a team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships.
  • Hands-on experience in asset security, security operations, or identity and access management in large complex organisations.
  • Hands on configuration experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc
  • Detailed technical knowledge of database and operating system security
  • Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools
  • Familiarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols
  • Proven work experience as a Security Analyst, Security Engineer or Systems Administrator
  • Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
