Rest’s customer-led digital service has been recognised for its innovative virtual assistant ‘Roger’ and personalised interactive statements at the Money Magazine 2018 Best of the Best Award ceremony.
Now in its 17th year, the Best of the Best Awards are highly recognised and respected awards, judged by both the Money Magazine team and some of Australia’s leading research houses, to identify the best financial products, services and investments in Australia.
“We’re honoured to be acknowledged for our contribution to the super industry, particularly our ongoing investment in technology to improve the customer experience for both our members and employers,” said Andrew Howard, Chief Operating Officer at Rest Industry Super.
“Putting our nearly 2 million members across Australia first, every day, in everything we do is at the core Rest’s digitally led customer experience strategy. We want to empower customer interactions through the deployment of Roger and our interactive annual statements,” he said.
Roger, in addition to the Live Chat functionality on the website and the Rest App, has made Rest the first super fund to service member enquiries 24/7 with over 244,573 questions asked of Roger since launch in January 2017 and Live Chat receiving a 95% satisfied or totally satisfied response rate from customers surveyed.
“We were also the first to provide interactive online member statements offering an inbuilt consolidation tool for members so that they can have all of their super in one place,” he added.
Rest has made significant investments in technology over the past year to enhance its customer service offering and open more channels to interact with members as customer trends continue to move towards self-service and the ability to easily perform tasks online.
This award has been the latest honour Rest has received this year, having already picked up Best Fund Innovation 2017 at the Chant West 2017 Super Funds Awards in May and the Rainmaker SelectingSuper Innovation Award for Millennial Superannuation earlier this month.
