About the Job

Working as part of the broader Member Insights & Strategy team, the Customer Insights Analyst will support a broad spectrum of business stakeholders by finding innovative connections through data mining and providing deep insights into the current and likely future behaviour of our members and employers. 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, your primary focus will be working in a complex consumer data driven environment, to uncover and deliver strategic insights, data analytics and research to help our members achieve their best personal retirement goals.
 
Key responsibilities include:

  • Help develop and deliver pre-campaign analysis, targeting and post implementation reviews
  • Help devise and implement customer behavioural analysis and provide actionable insights
  • Develop and maintain new / existing Tableau dashboards to support analytical solutions
  • Devise and implement predictive models, trigger detection techniques, and execute via our customer facing channels and marketing automation tool
  • Contribute to projects designed to understand key member behaviours that drive customer acquisition, retention, and engagement
  • Translating data into information; information into knowledge; Identifying data patterns, trends and linkages
  • Provide and present actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders

 
About You:

Ideally, you have a solid background in campaign analytics and insights, strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to leverage data to derive actionable insights and effectively communicate them with non-technical stakeholders.

  • Tertiary qualifications in mathematics / statistical modelling / computer science or related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a similar role
  • Strong Analytical skills, ability to combine both quantitative and qualitative information that allow for the development of insights driven reports and dashboards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively relate data and information to a non-technical audience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build strong working relationships
  • Strong eye for detail and numerical accuracy
  • Solid experience with a range of databases including marketing databases
  • Solid experience in SQL and Tableau
  • Exposure to cloud-based platforms (E.g. AWS Redshift)
  • Exposure to machine learning methodologies and tools (E.g. R and Python)
  • Industry knowledge preferred – experience and / or understanding of superannuation / financial services industry / insurance
