About the Job 

We are looking for an experience Program Manager to join the Rest Delivery team, to implement our new Investment Management Platform, working with Business Owners and Sponsors to deliver successful Program outcomes.

This role is offered as a 18-24-month contract and is ideally suited to someone with previous experience in systems implementation in investment management who is looking to join a forward thinking organisation, where they can use their domain knowledge to  implement industry best practice.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Manage Program of work from initiation through to closure, to ensure that projects are appropriately structured to achieve the maximum chance of success (time, budget, scope, quality)
  • Manage the preparation of project cost estimates for gating submission/funding approval
  • manage and report project delivery against agreed costs, optimise the cost / benefits of resource mix, forecast and manage the cost impacts of scope change
  • Monitor benefits against the business case
  • Engage, inform and negotiate with key stakeholders including the sponsor and business owner, business units and vendors
  • Ensure Program of work is in adherence to Rest delivery methodology and governance framework
  • Manage vendors to deliver solutions for the program of work
  • Monitor and report progress and performance against agreed deliverables and quality and performance expectations;
  • Manage contractual performance and quality, ensuring program requirements are met
  • Effectively manage risks and issues by identifying and documenting risks and issues to projects and developing effective mitigation/management strategies
  • Lead, mentor and guide project team members to, ensure that resources are optimally utilised
  • Assist in the creation of an appropriate delivery team to realise the project outcomes.

About You:

Essential Qualifications and experience:
  • Project Management Certification e.g. PMI/Prince 2 Certification or equivalent Scrum master/Agile certification or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience with migrating data, implementing and integrating enterprise investment management platforms across business functions for financial services organisations
  • Demonstrated market experience working in Investment Management organisations, ideally with experience in dealing with front, middle and back office functions
  • Advanced knowledge in Portfolio Management Systems, Order Management Systems, and Execution Management Systems across multiple asset classes
  • Demonstrated Program or Major Project management experience, leading and successfully delivering strategic IT projects/programs of work with budgets in excess of $10m, ensuring delivery meets budget, time and quality standards.
