About the Job 
Due to a recent promotion we are looking for an experienced Senior Manger to look after Product Development within our Super & Retirement team. Your role will deliver best practice product development expertise; delivering product enhancements and changes to Rest’s superannuation and retirements products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the delivery product development initiatives (enhancements, new products/investments, rationalisation) for both superannuation and retirement products (including insurance offers within them)
  • Ensuring the management, delivery and prioritisation of all super, insurance and retirement related projects to ensure project deliverables are achieved in a timely, efficient & cos

  • Leading the initiatives while influencing and driving all deliverables (design, investments, pricing, regulatory change, member, experience, communications materials etc)
  • Work collaboratively with the product owners (super, retirement and insurance), strategy teams, marketing distribution, investment, legal, risk, PMO and other stakeholders to design solution options as required and document changes to product specifications in collaboration with all stakeholders
  • Understand product innovations and changes occurring within the industry and collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop a portfolio view of change for the product team and other teams within the business
  • Delivery within the product development process and governance framework on time and to budget to optimise the member experience.
  • Develop, monitor and maintain effective product development processes and procedures as they relate to the super and retirement team, business partners and service providers

About You:
Qualifications:
  • RG146 in Superannuation desirable
 
Required experience, understanding or credentials including:
  • Extensive experience in superannuation/retirement/life insurance, preferably in a product development or product related capacity
  • Well-developed understanding of super, insurance and retirement product development delivery
  • Proven experience in delivery of complex policy changes in prescribed timeframes
  • Understanding of superannuation practices and legislation
  • Proactive relationship management skills and demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders including boards    
  • Proven business cases preparation skills  
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an environment requiring attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
