About the Job
As the Senior Manager, Tax Reporting and Governance has a broad compliance and reporting focus. They will be responsible for assisting with and promoting the operation of Rest’s tax strategy and tax risk framework to ensure that tax is managed within Rest’s risk framework.
Key responsibilities include:
- Optimise the Fund’s tax position within the terms of its tax risk framework for the benefit of members
- Meet Australian and international tax compliance obligations of the fund and its special purpose vehicles including management of the compliance timetable
- Implementing and maintaining internal tax policies, reporting controls and procedures
- Initiate and support continuous improvements in the group’s tax governance
- Advise Finance on tax reporting requirements, including advice on GST, PAYG, income tax, FBT and provisioning and tax effect accounting
- Providing support for tax provision in the fund’s unit pricing
About You:
- CA/CPA Qualified
- Demonstrated Tax experience in financial services, a professional services firm or superannuation fund
- Good understanding of the superannuation industry and / or funds management industry highly regarded
- Strong stakeholder management skills
