Business Solutions Specialist

Full-time - Permanent - Sydney CBD

The Business Solutions Specialist is responsible for identifying business solutions that will execute on business transformation and strategic change in cooperation with others. The position will also partner with the business by acting as a technical authority for all business solutions. 

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Propose and recommend appropriate business solutions that align with the strategic initiatives and technology framework of REST  through collaborating with appropriate internal channels ensuring due diligence is undertaken prior, during and post implementation
  • Provide technical expertise for all business solution architecture and design activities in consultation with enterprise and solutions architects including external vendors ensuring alignment with REST enterprise architecture, standards and principles
  • Work collaboratively with vendors to ensure on a day to day basis services are delivered as expected and efficiency improvement are realised
  • Partner with the business to perform need/gap analysis as needed and work systematically to address those needs
  • Ensure services provided are of utmost quality and delivered in line with agreed OLAs and SLAs
  • Manage continuous improvements for all business solutions through the delivery of upgrades and enhanced business solution functionality including training and development for relevant staff and Business System Owners
  • Define, implement and manage the change management and release management processes
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
  • Tertiary or technical qualifications, or equivalent experience, in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, and/or Business Solutions – including CRM, Business Intelligence and Enterprise Business Solutions
  • Proven ability to collaborate, partner, negotiate and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Project Management experience including ability to drive deliverables dealing with both internal and external vendors
  • Excellent ability to gather business requirements and transform them into practical solutions
  • Proven technical experience in managing CRM, Business Intelligence and Enterprise Business Solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering end user training.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the proven ability to liaise and negotiate effectively with people within and external to the organisation.
  • Able to work independently, with good planning and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines within short time frames and to manage changing priorities
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to operate effectively in a team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships
  • Strong ITIL Knowledge
