Transition Manager – Superannuation

Full-time – Permanent – Sydney CBD

The Transition Manager will be responsible for managing the movement of client’s superannuation business from external super providers and/or product transition within REST (Super to Corporate) ensuring the customer expectations are met in a timely and smooth transition of business to REST using accurate information.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Project managing the transition of superannuation business from external providers and/or product transition within REST.
  • Working with BDMs/RMs to support the delivery of the employer plan transition to REST
  • Working with the Employer Services team to insure the relevant stakeholders are engaged and processes are in place for each transition
  • Ensuring the transition guides and processes are consistently maintained and changes are communicated to and agreed with internal and external stakeholders
  • Providing a comprehensive project plan (post consultation with relevant stakeholders) to the BDM/Tender Manager/National Manager – Employer Services detailing the overall timeline and specific requirements of each transition
  • Managing the accurate completion of required paperwork and client communications including transfer deeds, MBIT, Employer Application, etc.
  • Acting as a point of escalation and investigation for transitioning plans ensuring swift resolution
  • Managing transition communications with employers in conjunction with the BDM’s and RM’s
  • Checking and reviewing of input and output data from transitioning fund and administrator (quality control of input and output)

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate experience in:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • RG146 compliant
  • Experience in managing superannuation and insurance transitions
  • Superior technical knowledge relating to superannuation legislation and tax rules pertaining to superannuation, insurance and investments
  • Experience in writing, reviewing and delivering Employer Super/Client facing material in a professional manner
  • Sales/customer service skills, experience in presenting at tenders and liaising with / reporting to senior stakeholders at large clients
  • Strong project and stakeholder management experience
  • Intermediate or Advanced skills with word, excel and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Very strong inter-personal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to operate without supervision
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Management experience preferred
