Is Rest a SMSF?

Simply put, no. Rest is an industry super fund, not a self-managed super fund (SMSF).

In other words, we manage super on behalf of millions of our members. As an industry super fund, Rest doesn't pay profits to shareholders, and offers competitive fees.

An SMSF is a super fund you’re in charge of. That means you’d need to choose each investment and the insurance, if any, in your super.

Running an SMSF is a big decision. It takes time and you'd be responsible for complying with Australia’s super and tax laws – even if you enlist the help of professionals, or someone else in your fund makes a decision for you.
