Rest, one of Australia’s largest profit-to-member superannuation funds, has appointed a senior financial services leader and superannuation expert to help the fund maintain the momentum towards its strategic goals.
Gideon Lipman has been appointed to the newly created role of Chief of Staff to the Chief Executive Officer, Vicki Doyle.
He will work closely with Ms Doyle and the Rest executive team to advance and unlock further opportunities to achieve the fund’s strategy.
“Gideon is a highly respected superannuation leader and I’m delighted he is joining Rest to support our critical mission to make the experience of superannuation simpler and easier for our 2 million members,” says Ms Doyle.
“Gideon’s strong member focus and commercial acumen will help Rest ensure we can continue to mobilise our strategy into action to help our members achieve their best-possible retirement outcomes.”
Mr Lipman is a senior leader with more than 20 years of deep experience in superannuation, product management, strategy and transformation. He was most recently Head of Product at Insignia Financial and has previously held senior strategy, transformation and product roles with Colonial First State.
Mr Lipman takes up the role from 10 February 2025 and will be based in Sydney.
