Rest, one of Australia’s largest profit-to-member superannuation funds, has announced the permanent appointment of Marina Pasika as Head of Private Markets, effective immediately, reporting to the Chief Investment Officer Michael Clancy.
Ms Pasika has been acting in the role since October 2025, and the appointment follows a comprehensive search. She has continued to progress Rest’s private markets agenda and strengthen key external relationships.
Michael Clancy, Chief Investment Officer at Rest, says Ms Pasika’s appointment reflects her depth of investment experience and leadership capability.
"Marina brings strong investing credentials, a proven track record in private equity and deep experience across private markets," Mr Clancy says. "She has also demonstrated strong leadership capability in the role, building momentum within the team.
"Since stepping into the role on an interim basis, Marina has led the team with clarity and sound judgement, while continuing to advance our private markets strategy. I’m delighted that she is now stepping into the role on a permanent basis."
Ms Pasika has held senior investment roles at Rest since joining the fund in 2020 and has played a key role in building its private equity capability and broader alternatives portfolio.
Ms Pasika says she is looking forward to continuing to lead the Private Markets team.
