The Rest Board welcomes Inese Kingsmill

The Board of Rest, one of Australia’s largest profit-to-member superannuation funds, today announced the appointment of new Rest Director Inese Kingsmill.

Ms Kingsmill joins Rest from 14 October as an employer-nominated Director and replaces Sally Evans who retired from the Board in July 2024.

Ms Kingsmill, who was nominated to join the Rest Board by employer Wesfarmers, has been a successful business leader for more than 25 years, known for her focus on growing businesses, technology and putting customers first.

Rest Chair James Merlino said it was an exciting time for Ms Kingsmill to join the fund.

"Inese is an experienced Director who brings world class digital transformation, marketing and customer-centric skills to the Board of Rest,” said Mr Merlino.

"This directly supports Rest’s mission to make the experience of super simple for our 2 million members."

Ms Kingsmill has held leadership positions at Microsoft, Telstra and Virgin Australia and has deep experience in the fields of transformation, culture change, customer experience, marketing and operating model design.

In addition to her role on the Rest Board, Ms Kingsmill is also the Chair of Sonder and Hipages Group.

She also serves as a Non-Executive Director on the boards of NobleOak and Bigtincan and is a past chair of the Australian Association of National Advertisers.
