Wander through the centre of Sydney’s CBD and look up: you can’t help but notice the sharp angles and futuristic architecture of the iconic Quay Quarter Tower (QQT) – a new landmark that redefines the city skyline and the modern workplace.

What you might not realise about this ground-breaking skyscraper is that underneath its edgy, angular glass and steel skin sits part of the original building that stood before it.

From the ground up

Rising from the heart of Sydney’s bustling business district at 50 Bridge Street, Quay Quarter Tower is a multiple award-winning, multi-use skyscraper that was reopened in 2022.

Standing on the same spot as the original AMP Centre, once the tallest building in Sydney, QQT was reconstructed to incorporate as much of the original structure as possible. Now, the eye-catching new skyscraper has doubled the amount of useable space and transformed into a ‘vertical village’.

Although the area dedicated to workspace has increased, QQT now also has four tranquil sky terraces that can be used as informal meeting rooms, event spaces, or even outdoor yoga studios. On lower levels you’ll also now find:

  • Restaurants, cafes, and bars
  • Fitness spaces and gyms
  • Wellbeing and retail outlets.
