Looking for your Centrelink Schedule?

If you're applying for or already receiving the Age Pension, chances are you'll need a Centrelink Schedule. Think of your Centrelink Schedule as a snapshot of your Rest Pension account. It's a document that gives Services Australia (Centrelink) the key details they need about your pension, like how much is in your account and how you're being paid.

Case Study

Margaret, 68, recently applied for the Age Pension. As part of her application, Centrelink asked her to provide a schedule from her super fund. Instead of calling Rest and waiting for one in the mail, Margaret logged in to MemberAccess, found her schedule under ‘Pension’ then ‘Centrelink Schedule,’ and downloaded it straight away. She had it ready to submit to Centrelink the same afternoon.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's a Centrelink Schedule?

Put simply, it's a summary of your pension account that Centrelink uses to work out what you might be entitled to from the Age Pension. It's sometimes called an income stream schedule.

You can think of it a bit like a bank statement - but instead of listing every transaction, it gives Centrelink the big-picture details they care about, like:

  • what type of pension you have (for example, an account-based pension)
  • when your pension started
  • how much you initially invested
  • your current account balance
  • how much you're being paid and how often.

Why does Centrelink need a schedule for my Rest Pension account?

When you apply for the Age Pension, Centrelink looks at what income and assets you have to figure out how much support you're eligible for. Your Rest Pension account counts as both an income stream and an asset, so Centrelink needs the details from your schedule to make a fair assessment.

Think of it this way: Centrelink is putting together a map of your finances, and your schedule is one of the key roads. Keeping it up to date means they've got an accurate picture, which helps make sure you get the right entitlements.

When do I need to send a schedule to Centrelink?

Centrelink may ask you to provide a copy of your schedule when you first apply for the Age Pension, or if something significant changes in your account (for example, a large withdrawal).

That's why it's handy to know where to find your schedule in MemberAccess, so you can grab an up-to-date copy whenever you need one, without having to call or wait.

How can I check my next pension payment date?

Easy! Just log in to MemberAccess. Your upcoming payment dates, amounts, and how often you're being paid are all there in your account.

What if my pension payment date falls on a public holiday?

If your payment is due on a weekend or public holiday, it'll generally be processed on the last business day before the holiday. So, you might see it hit your bank account earlier than usual.
