About the Job 
An integral part of our 2LOD Risk and Compliance team, your role will work closely with the Senior Manager, Operational Risk to manage all project risk, ensuring that Rest is appropriately protected against risk and demonstrates an appropriate risk culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing second line project risk assessments as well as delivered risks
  • Ensuring that Projects adhered to the Project Risk Management Policy
  • Provide input to the control design and ensuring that the controls are adequately designed and fit for purpose.
  • Performing risk assessment across the portfolio of projects, aggregation of all the projects risks and determining the overall impact to the Rest Risk profile.
  • Act as the 2LoD Risk advisor to the business for project related risks and/or risk in change from improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to the quarterly risk assessments for the Rest Risk Profile relating to impacts of projects to material risks.
  • Responsible for the Project Risk Management Policy and accountable to ensure the policy remains relevant and up to date.
  • Contribute and prepares the Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee (ARCC) Reports, CEO Reports and others as directed.
  • Ensuring the risk management framework is effectively integrated into daily operational processes in the business units.
  • Assist with leading deep-dives into high risk processes.
  • Assist with the planning and facilitation of risk workshops with management.

About You:
Qualifications:
 
  • Related tertiary qualifications
  • Membership of professional bodies such as ASFA and the Risk Management Institute of Australia (RMIA) or the Australian Compliance Institute.

Required experience, understanding or credentials including:
 
  • Proven experience in operational risk, in particular project risk experience, ideally within the Financial Service industry.
  • Good understanding of applicable laws and regulations applicable to the Superannuation industry.
  • Good understanding of project delivery governance principles and assessing Project risk and delivered risk.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and prioritising competing deadlines.
  • Experience in the ongoing development of policies, procedures and programs that ensure a robust risk and compliance function.
  • Sound understanding risk frameworks, policies and compliance frameworks in the financial services industry.
  • Experience in performing risk assessments for projects and/or risk in change and their impacts to the overall risk profile on a roll-up basis.
