About the Job
Your role as the Head of Digital Risk, will be based within the Member Engagement team, whose scope includes digital services (app, website, livechat, chatbot), design of member experience for assisted channels (e.g. call centres), member communications and marketing, customer analytics and data, and member segment strategy.

Working closely with the Member Engagement leadership team, you will identify risk and improve the control environment, providing assurances that our internal and external operations are conducted in line with our risk appetite while also maximising and improving the member benefits of improvement engagement with their super and insurance, especially via digital channels and data-driven marketing and member communications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide strategic process and thought leadership on proactive risk management strategies, plans, and actions in the context of the current, emerging, and future member engagement environment.
  • Implementing the Risk management Framework.
  • Identification and creation of appropriate controls and standard operating procedures when needed including enhancement of existing risk monitoring.
  • Undertake activities to ensure policies and procedures are appropriately embedded into business operations.
  • Monitor risk and perform Control Self-Assessment, identifying any issues / controls gaps and address root cause by improving controls.
  • Proactively manage open issues including audit issues and incidents ensuring that the business is on track with remediation and providing timely responses.
  • Complete end to end processing for all raised incidents, including root cause analysis, systems and reporting, and post review.
  • Leading the review of outsourced providers systems and processes to ensure compliance with our standard operating procedures and risk control measures.
  • Establish and lead the First Line of Defence Risk / incidents Forum.
  • Act as the lead for the Business/Line management in driving risk culture.
  • Preparation of risk materials and content for various Line 1 risk forums.
  • Preparation of risk content for ELT and ARCC meetings.

About You:

  • Proven experience in operational risk, compliance management, or legal/regulatory management, ideally in a financial services business.
  • Minimum three years’ experience defining and managing control and compliance processes within a digital or data-driven marketing function.
  • Strong understanding of key legislative and regulatory standards and instruments.
  • Experience in performing control self-assessment and control design and application.
  • Experience and understanding of compliance obligations/requirements and the identification of relevant controls to address obligations.
