About the Job
To be responsible for the effective and efficient operations of the Fund’s investment activities including key activities such as unit pricing, cashflow and liquidity management, securities lending and custody related matters.


Key responsibilities include:
  • Day to day responsibility for operational matters including all required instructions to Rest’s custodian and investment managers.
  • Assist the management of daily unit pricing process and ensure that the daily process is undertaken for the oversight of REST’s unit pricing process.
  • Contribute to building relationships with key service providers and participating in service reviews so that Rest can continue to improve the quality of services received from one of its strategic partners.
  • Contribute to and/or manage the delivery of projects to ensure delivery within its specified timeframe, budget and to acceptable quality standards.
  • Manage the daily cashflows of the Fund including calculating and instructing all daily flows required from manager transactions to maximise returns from Rest’s cash holdings.
  • Manage Rest’s liquidity position by undertaking periodic liquidity stress testing and maintaining a schedule of Rest’s cashflow requirements to ensure it has sufficient liquidity to meet its short-term and long-term funding requirements.
  • Responsible for the daily management of securities lending activities and ensuring Rest’s return is optimised whilst providing oversight on the program to manage risks.
  • Support the class action process for when required to ensure Rest is actively seeking the best financial outcomes for its members.


About You:
Your collaborative style, drive and care factor coupled with your ability to ensure multiple tasks are dealt with in priority and to deadline are natural skills. You enjoy the trust of the team and the ability to deliver autonomously and hold yourself to high standards with accuracy at the core, very aware of the impact and essential nature of your delivery.

Desired experience, understanding or credentials including:

  • Tertiary education in relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Accounting related qualifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA would be beneficial.
  •  Preferably at least 7 years of experience in the financial services industry and in particular, Fund Accounting / Custody experience with an in-depth knowledge of unit pricing processes is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs, problem solving, work under pressure, set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate, liaise and contribute at meetings with people at different levels within the organisation.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects and prioritising competing deadlines.
